Beautiful Creatures Light Or Dark Contest

This is my entry to the Beautiful Creatures Lena Light or Dark Contest. I chose Light for the first one.

In the preview it looks like everything is pointing to Lena that she will be claimed for the dark, so I tried to make the scene around here as dark and evil as possible using natural elements. I tried to make her look triumphant and powerful, knowing that the light is far stronger than the dark. Was a fun project, and I can't wait to see this film. Haven't read the books yet, but I'm planning on it after this! =D

This is all hand drawn with pencil, pens, and paintbrushes. Graphite and ink.
I did use the downloadable content as reference, but designed the jacket and dress myself, still sticking with the corset. No reference for the background and all free drawn. Some digital changes, just contrast, brightness and tones.

Oh, dude, you totally deserve to win something! :D

And, plus, if they're really judging on technical skill, it's harder to do traditional art compared to digital art. Your skill is like, peak, dude! And yours has such impact, so, I'd be mad if they didn't pick yours!
